Eco Recasens SL is a company located in Barcelona, Spain. 🇪🇸
Founded in 1985, we have over 30 years of experience in the production of straws. Our biggest strengths is innovation in the production of straws and other items for the food and beverage industry.
As a matter of fact, our straws have two very specific characteristics that differentiate them from others:

- We customize or personalize the straws thanks to our special machine of “straw branding”. To explain it better, we can print or brand the straws with the logo of your company, or a design of your choice.
- The second characteristic is that our straws and mixers are made of compostable materials, made from PLA or Oxibiodegradable materials.
About our customizable straws:
The logo would go at the top of the straw, and it’s barely impossible to try and scrub it off. This feature, adds a great touch of class and style to the straws of our clients.
As opposed to other manufacturers, which use serigraphy to print logos on straws or other plastics, with regular ink that doesn’t respect the European Union’s health standards and rubs off when it touches any liquid, we have our own improved way of doing it.
How? Well, that’s a well kept secret. We own a patent for a special machine Mr. Recasens designed, which allows us to customize the straws with your logo or design. We do it with organic ink, which does follow the EU’s guidelines of food health and safety, AND you can spend literally hours trying to rub it off and it just won’t.

On top of that, we can customize the products to be of different sizes, diameters as well as colors or patterns.
About our compostable straws:
Our straws are either made of PLA or Oxibiodegradable materials, making sure that they don’t pollute the environment, but rather, they are friendly with the needs of our planet.
It’s not a secret that the normative of the European Union require that the food and beverage industry reduce the consumption and use of single use plastics, meaning that our compostable and environmentally friendly straws are just in line with such normative.

Another thing that sets us apart, is that we do own our factory, so we completely control the production and manufacturing of our products, more specifically from our factory in Hospitalet de Llobregat in Spain.
We are proud to be a family-owned company manufacturing our products in Europe.
On top of that, in 2020 we grew our team and partners, to have a bigger and stronger presence in other countries and continents. We now have a presence in Costa Rica and Argentina, which means our compostable products are easily accessible to you, no matter where you are located.
